"Brother Jeff"

Brother Jeff was called to serve as pastor with First Lutheran in 2023.

He received his undergraduate degree from Concordia College and his seminary 

Master of Divinity (MDiv) degree from Luther Seminary in 2015. In 2022, he completed

a certificate program enabling him to become a spiritual director who can help guide

others in their faith life and the wider mission of the Church. Using this training,

Br. Jeff also serves the Northwestern MN Synod as a coordinator for faith practices

and spirituality.

Brother Jeff is a life professed member of the Order of Lutheran Franciscans, the first

religious order in the ELCA.

Br. Jeff is married to Rev. Caitlin Jensen-Brown who serves another First Lutheran,

in Karlstad, MN. They make their home in Karlstad with a menagerie of pets.

They both enjoy God's creation, especially hiking Minnesota state parks and trails.
